A councillor has criticised some online commentary after a young boy was stabbed at a school in north Dublin.

The 11-year-old was taken to Temple Street Children's Hospital for treatment after he was attacked yesterday morning by another boy of the same age.

He underwent surgery for serious, but not life threatening injuries.

Dublin City Councillor for Ballymun-Finglas, Conor Reddy, says the incident was politicised by some online commentators.
