Driving Test Delays Loom as RSA Testers Back Strike Action

Union says testers are not adequately insured while on duty.

RSA driving testers have voted in favour of going on strike.

Members of the Fórsa Trade Union say their employer has failed to make sure testers are covered by the State Claims Agency while working.

If the strike goes ahead, it could mean test wait times increase.

As of today, the wait time for Naas Test Centre is approximately 4 weeks. 

Driving Instructor Brenda Bolger says testers have to take motorists word for being insured:
