39-year-old Mark Duffy, with an address in Dublin 15, is facing charges of perverting the course of justice and burglary.
He is one of four officers arrested by the Garda Anti-Corruption Unit.
He is accused of perverting the course of justice between the 28th of August 2021 and the 20th of December 2021.
He’s also facing a charge of burglary, which accuses him of stealing from a flat in Rathmines after entering as a trespasser in June 2021.
He, and the other three members arrested as part of the investigation, were suspended pending the outcome of these proceedings.
Mr Duffy’s precise address can't be published because he is a garda.
He was remanded on bail today to appear in court again in May.
