A woman aged in her 30s was arrested and is currently being detained.
One point seven million euro worth of drugs have been seized in Carlow town.
The discovery was made after the Carlow Drugs Unit stopped and searched a car and recovered suspected heroin and cannabis yesterday.
In a follow-up search of a house, suspected heroin, worth around 1.68 million euro, cannabis worth almost 50 thousand euro and tablets were seized.
A woman aged in her 30s was arrested and is currently being detained at a Garda station in the Eastern Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
