Mary Lou McDonald has pleaded with Independent TD's not to vote with the Government.
“Two years on, we believe that this government has now run out of road. They're out of time. They're out of ideas,” that's according to Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald
Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald has claimed the Government is “out of road” in confirming her party is to table a no-confidence motion.
Ms McDonald has said it is important that the opposition hold the Government to account.
The motions comes in the wake of the Government losing its technical majority in the Dáil, Fine Gael TD Joe McHugh voted against the mica redress scheme bill and lost the party whip.
Ms McDonald has urged Independent politicians who have previously supported the coalition to vote in favour of the Sinn Fein motion.
Independent TD for Clare, Michael McNamara, has already confirmed that he will not back the Government in the no-confidence motion.
Sinn Féin will be submitting the motion at 9am.
