Ireland Secures Extension Of Nitrates Derogation To 2028, Minister Heydon Confirms

The Nitrates Committee of the European Commission met to extend the derogation, which expires this month, until the end of 2028 with some new conditions attached.

Minister Martin Heydon's announced Ireland has secured the continued availability of the Nitrates Derogation.

Minister for Agriculture and Kildare South TD Martin Heydon said the extension will be positive for farmers.
