The increase applies to renewals from January 1st
Irish Life is increasing health insurance premiums by an average of 5 per cent.
The rise in cost will apply to renewals on or after the 1st of January.
The Health Insurance Authority says it's been notified of the changes and its Chief Executive Brian Lee is encouraging everyone to review their plan annually.
