Richard O'Halloran re-united with his family
Irish businessman Richard O'Halloran has been re-united with his family after flying into Dublin Airport this morning.
Mr. O'Halloran had been prevented from leaving China since 2019, in a dispute involving the Chinese authorities and his employer.
His wife Tara has thanked everyone for their support and said they're unbelievably happy to have him back.
Yesterday Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney acknowledged the cooperation of the Chinese authorities in ensuring his return.
But MEP Barry Andrews says the tone of that statement surprised him:
