There needs to be a serious conversation on the regulation of cannabis in Ireland, according to an opposition TD.
It's after a new report from the Royal College of Psychiatrists found hospital admissions for young people due to a cannabis-related diagnosis quadrupled between 2005 and 2017.
The organisation's concerned with the potency of cannabis being consumed, saying that it has 'spiked' over time.
People Before Profit TD Gino Kenny says the drug isn't regulated in Ireland, and will introduce a bill later this year to change that:
