Gardai responded to the collision just after midnight last night.
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene of a single-car collision on a local road at Knockleigh, Belgooly just after midnight last night.
A 19 year old was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later - it's understood he was the sole occupant of the car.
The man's body has since been removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out, and the Coroner has been notified.
The road remains closed to traffic to facilitate a technical examination - local diversions are in place.
Anyone with video or dash-cam footage, who was travelling in the area at the time, is asked to make it available to Gardai.
