Ms Thompson was discovered with multiple injuries, including stab wounds.
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Lisa Thompson.
The body of the 52-year-old mother-of-two was found in her home in Ballymun, Dublin 11, on the 10th of May.
Brian McHugh, of Cairn Court, Poppintree, Ballymun, was arrested this morning and made no reply after the murder charge was put to him.
The 37-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court via video next Wednesday.
Ms Thompson was last seen two days before her body was found on the afternoon of the 10th May.
A concerned neighbour had raised the alarm by calling 999, seeking an ambulance, just after 3pm that day.
When paramedics arrived at the house they called Gardaí.
It is believed Ms Thompson’s body was in her home for some time before it was discovered.
