A man has died following a single vehicle collision in Mayo.
The incident involving a van happened shortly after midnight on the N60 at Ballygowan in Claremorris.
The 40 year old driver died from his injuries.
His body has been removed to Mayo University Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place.
The road has re-opened this morning, following a technical examination.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses particularly anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
