26 year old was arrested by police in Northern Ireland
A man in his 20s has been charged with the murder of a woman in Limerick city.
He was arrested in the North, following the assault on the mother-of-four on Tuesday.
26 year old Geila Ibram, a native of Romania, was found stabbed to death inside an apartment building at Dock Road in Limerick city on Tuesday.
Members of her family formally identified her body at the morgue in University Hospital Limerick yesterday.
Her family told a Romanian television news station that the mother-of-four had travelled to the city about three weeks ago.
Her alleged killer was apprehended by police in Northern Ireland on Thursday.
They've since charged the 26 year old man with murder, and he's due before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning.
Gardaí - who believe Ms. Ibram's killer acted alone - continue to appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
