Most people want to see changes to rules around inheritance tax.

Four in five people want a family home to be exempt from inheritance tax, according to a survey by investments company Royal London Ireland.

The inheritance tax rate is currently 33 per cent, however, children who are gifted, or willed, up to 400-thousand euro from their parents don't have to pay any tax.

Assistant Professor of Economics at Trinity College Dublin, Barra Roantree, doesn't think the current system should be changed:
