The cost of the National Children's Hospital (NCH) is spiralling out of control with almost 60% of the the approved €1.433 billion to be drawn down before the end of the year.
It is expected that by the end of 2021 approximately €873 million will be spent from the capital budget .
Delays, due to the pandemic, mean the hospital will now not open for patients until 2024.
There is concern that the cost of the NCH will be much higher than originally forecast.

The value of claims for changes by the builder now stands at over €500 million euro.
