Gardaí confirm they have resumed operations at Carrig East in Kenmare.

New searches are underway this morning following the disappearance of Michael Gaine in County Kerry.

Gardaí confirm they have resumed operations at Carrig East in Kenmare, but say they're not in a position to provide any further information at this time.

56 year old Michael went missing on March 20th.

He was formally reported missing the following day on 21 March, and the investigation was upgraded to a homicide inquiry in April.
