Just 25 derelict homes were seized by Dublin City Council in the past 5 years.
That's despite the ongoing homeless crisis and housing shortage.
For a site to be labelled derelict it must be neglected and dangerous and it's then assessed by the Council.

The figures were released to Green councillor Janet Horner and show there were 11 derelict properties seized last year
While there were 1 each in 2021 and 2022 and 6 in both 2018 and 2019.
The most recent figures show 11,632 people were recorded in emergency accommodation.
