Over three quarters of local residents back the continued growth of Dublin Airport, according to a new poll.

New independent research conducted by Red C today reveals 86 percent of Fingal residents support plans for further development.

The survey, based on 1 thousand and 11 face-to-face interviews across the Fingal Electoral Area, also reveals 84 per cent agree that having the airport in their community fuels economic development.

Kenny Jacobs, CEO of DAA, says while it can sometimes feel like the loudest voices are the most negative, this research shows the vast majority of locals are behind them:
