Jack Chambers says the union's decision is "extremely regrettable"
The Public Expenditure Minister has warned of major disruption to essential services if unions press ahead with another nationwide strike next week.
Jack Chambers says the union's decision following an impasse in pay-talks, is 'extremely regrettable'
Government officials and union representatives are due to engage with an independent group chaired by WRC Chairman Kevin Foley today, in a bid to break the deadlock.
Minister Chambers says the Government remains committed to reaching a fair and sustainable pay deal, and believes talks should resume under the WRC.
Meanwhile, unions say they're ready to press ahead with the strike on November 12th - and are also considering further industrial action if the dispute remains unresolved.
