The US Supreme Court has ruled against Donald Trump's global tariffs.

The President had previously warned America would need to "unwind" trade deals if it lost the case.

The Supreme Court, has a 6-3 conservative majority and heard nearly three hours of oral arguments in November on the case.

The European Union says its takes note of the ruling and analysing it carefully.

A spokesperson for the Commission says it remains in close contact with the US administration as they seek clarity on the steps they intend to take in response.
