The crash happened in Lahinch
A woman has died in a crash in County Clare.
The male driver of the car, who is also in his 30s, escaped serious injury but was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drunk-driving and taken to Ennis Garda station.
He has since been released without charge pending the conclusion of the Garda investigation and completion of a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
This single car crash happened in Lahinch at 6.40pm yesterday evening.
The woman who died was a passenger in the car which crashed.
She was in her 30s and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was seriously injured.
The scene was sealed off for a technical examination overnight by forensic collision investigators.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
