A woman in her 70s has died after being hit by a lorry in a collision in Co Cork.
The incident happened at approximately 3.45pm on Main Street, Charleville.
The female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured in the incident.
Gardaí have closed off Main Street for a forensic collision investigation to be carried out and local diversions are in place.
They have appealed for any witnesses, particularly those with video footage to contact Mallow Garda Station on 022-31450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111 or any garda station.
