There are no plans to set up a compensation scheme specifically for the Covid-19 vaccines.

Work is underway to establish a compensation scheme for people who've suffered damages as a result of a vaccination.

It was one of the recommendations of a report from Mr Justice Charles Meenan into medical negligence.

However, there are no plans to set up a compensation scheme specifically for the Covid-19 vaccines.

A proposed vaccine compensation scheme won't be specific to Covid-19, according to the Health Minister.
