Liverpool have confirmed the signing of midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton on what's described as a 'long term' deal.

The fee is believed to be 35 million pounds, but could rise with add ons to 55 million.

Mac Allister, who has family routes in Naas expressed his excitement over the move: "It's amazing to be here and I can't wait to get started"

24 year old won the World Cup with Argentina last December.
