Due to persistent knee injury
Fergal Conway has announced his retirement from inter-county football, due to a persistent knee injury.
Conway made his Senior Football debut for Kildare in 2014 - during the O'Byrne Cup.
He represented Kildare at Minor and U21 level, winning a Leinster U21 Championship in 2013.
Kildare GAA described him as "an influential player" noting he "produced some memorable performances in the white jersey with 98 competitive appearances.
"He was an exceptional leader on and off the field and represented the county with great honour, pride and distinction."
Kildare GAA has thanked Conway for "his commitment and dedication" to the county.
