It's the opening day of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby meeting at the Curragh.

There are seven races with the first off at 5pm.

The Group 2 Comer Group International Curragh Cup is the feature just before 6.45pm.

GAELIC GAMES

The UPMC Senior Hurling Championship gets underway tomorrow afternoon.

Celbridge play Coill Dubh at 2pm in St Conleth's Park, while at 3.45pm at the same venue, it's Leixlip against Naas.

Kildare camogie players will be hoping to build on their victory against Wexford last time out in the All Ireland Intermediate Championship.

He is 4 shots behind joint leaders Jay Haas and Mark Hensby.

Darren Clarke is 3 over par.


In Gee Chun shot an 8 under 64, to take a 5 shot lead after round one of the Women's PGA Championship at Congressional in Maryland.

Stephanie Meadow is 1 over par with Leona Maguire 2 over.


Meanwhile, the LIV golf rebels, including Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter, are set to be banned from playing in next month's Scottish Open, as it's a jointly sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.
