Kildare rugby star Sam Prendergast is facing a race to be fit for Ireland's Nations Championship opener against Argentina on November 6th.
The 23-year-old from Suncroft sustained a wrist injury during Leinster training earlier this week, ruling him out of today's URC clash with Munster at the Aviva Stadium.
Prendergast had been in impressive form, earning back-to-back Player of the Match awards against Cardiff and Clermont Auvergne.
Leinster head coach Leo Cullen says the injury is being assessed daily, with the out-half's availability for Ireland still uncertain.
With Jack Crowley also injured, Ciarán Frawley could be called upon to start against Argentina if Prendergast fails to recover in time.
