All of the Irish provinces will be kept apart in the pool stage.
The Heineken Champions Cup will revert to a pool format from next season with 24 teams divided into four pools of six.
The 24 teams will be constructed from 8 teams from the three main Leagues - the URC, the English Premiership and the French Top 14.
All of the Irish provinces will be kept apart in the pool stage.
The four highest ranked clubs from each pool will qualify for the last 16.
As they won the URC, Munster are top seeds, as are defending champions La Rochelle.
The pool stage will take place next December and January and the draw for it will be held next week.
The final is next May at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London.
