Karim Benzema Signs For Saudi Arabian Champions Al Ittihad

Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema said goodbye to Real Madrid in a small, private ceremony closed to fans and media on Tuesday following his 14-year tenure with the Spanish club.

The French striker has signed a two-year contract with Saudi Champions Al Ittihad.

The deal is estimated to be worth more than €100m.

Benzema has shared his thoughts following the shock departure: “It really hurts… it’s not easy, I really wanted to retire here but sometimes directions change”
