Kildare 4-8 Meath 1-10, Kildare now have 4 points in the Division 1 Table ahead of Sunday's Kerry vs Galway and Armagh vs Dublin games
Kildare's Division 1 survival hopes are enhanced with a deserved seven points win over Meath.
Centre fielder Gillian Wheeler got Kildare’s opening goal and they added to that in style with two Aoife Rattigan points and another by Hazel McLoughlin to lead by 5 points after 20 minutes.
Kildare’s 2nd goal followed four minutes later when a Maya Doyle floated effort deceived the Meath goalie and leave Kildare leading by 2-6 to 0-4 at half time
Early in the 2nd half, Meath had two players sin-binned, with Kildare's Alannah Prizeman notching Kildare’s 3rd goal between those two black cards.
A vital Kildare win was sealed when Aoife Murnane goaled after 44 minutes. And with the sides swopping points, a late Meath goal only put a gloss on the scoreline.
Kildare now have 4 points on the table. Their remaining two games are away to Waterford on March 21s and home to Kerry on March 29th
