The result keeps Kildare 2nd from bottom of Division 2, with 3 games left against Louth, Meath and Limerick.

Derry and Dublin top the table on 6 points each.

Clare are minus 5, Kildare minus 27.

Next up for Kildare is Louth in Ardee next Sunday.

Yesterday, Louth beat Meath 1-15 to 1-12.
