The World Number 2 golfer requires elbow treatment ahead of next weeks Masters.
Rory McIlroy produced a strong finish to earn a top-ten finish at the Houston Open last night.
The county Down golfer posted a final round of 64 to end the week on 15-under-par.
That was good enough for a tie for fifth, five shots adrift of eventual winner Min Woo Lee of Australia.
McIlroy says he will require some treatment on an elbow issue ahead of The Masters next week.
