Next up is a trip away to Sligo on Sunday at 2 o’clock.
The hurlers began their Division 2 season with a defeat against Down.
The full time score in Ballycran was 2-19 to 22 points.
Kildare play Kerry in Newbridge on Saturday.
The Kildare ladies footballers also suffered defeat in their opening league game yesterday.
They were beaten by Waterford in Division 1 on a scoreline of 1-13 to 2-7.
Dublin are the opponents for the Lilywhites this coming weekend.
