Kildare women footballers have been relegated from the Lidl National League, Division 1: 

Having led for most of yesterday's game vs Kerry, played in Hawkfield, and having saved a penalty, they lost by one point.

The Final Score was Kildare 2-9  Kerry 2-10.

 

All Ireland Champions Dublin beat Cork by 2-8 to 1-6 and are relegated to Division 2 after Meaths win.

Donegal are men's Division 1 champions after beating Kerry 3-20 to 2-10.

Meath are Division 2 champions after coming from behind to beat Cork by two points: 1-22 to 2-17.

 

The Hanlon Concrete Senior Football League Round 3 was played on Saturday

Following Round 3, Celbridge lead Division 1 on 6 points, from Miltown and Johsntownbridge on 4 points.

Division 2 leaders on score difference is Carbury on 4 points from Ellistown, Round Towers, Rathangan,Caragh,and Allenwood all on 4 points.

Division 3 leaders are Kilcock on 6 points from Ballyteague 5 points and Kill 4 points.

Division 4 leaders are Ballymore Eustace on 4 points ahead of Monasterevin and Castlemitchell on 3 points each.

Two underage Kildare hurling teams were in Leinster action at the weekend.

On Saturday, the minor hurlers beat Wicklow by 1-17 to 1-10.

Yesterday, the Kildare U20 hurlers beat Westmeath 3-14 to 1-14 in Hawkfield.

 

SOCCER

Igor Tudor has left his role as Tottenham boss by mutual agreement.

The Croatian took over from Thomas Frank 44 days ago.

Tudor took just one point from his five league matches to leave Tottenham one above the bottom three.

Mullingar Celtic 3-5 Straffan

Mavida 2-2 Mountmellick United (Mavida win 4-3 on penalties)
