A winning Leinster hurling weekend for Naas and Clane

In the AIB Leinster Club Senior hurling Quarter final Naas 2-17 Mount Leinster Rangers 1-17

Kfm's commentary was with Seamus Dillon and Kildare goalkeeper Paddy McKenna in association with Moloney and Co, Solicitors, 4A, North Main St., Naas

 
Naas will play Wexford's St. Martin's in the semi final.  St. Martin's beat reigning All Ireland champions Dublin's Na Fianna by a point: 1-21 to 2-17.
 
Kilkenny's Ballyhale Shamrocks progressed after they beat Kilcormac Killoughey 25 points to 1-18 at Nowlan Park.

Laois club Clough Balla-colla were 2-16 to 20 points winners over Castletown Geoghegan of Westmeath.

 

In the Leinster Junior hurling Quarter final:  Clane 2-24 Naomh Moninne, Louth 2-17.

The semi final will be in two weeks time.

Kfm's coverage on Saturday with Seamus Dillon was in association with All Spares, Kildare, Ballysax, the Curragh.

 

This morning's Kildare Today with Hannah Kelly will review the Naas and Clane Leinster wins, while this evening's Kildare Scoreboard will have manager and player interviews, and a review of all the weekend Kildare sport.

 

In Saturday's Leinster Intermediate Camogie semi finall, Kildare champions Naas lost 12 points to 6-9 away to Camross of Laois.

In the Ladies football Leinster Intermediate final, Balyna lost five points to seven vs St. Fechin's of Louth.

Ahead of tomorrow's  U17 World Cup vs Paraguay, two Kildare players have been starring for Ireland 
 
Shamrock Rovers players Maynooth's Alex Noonan in goal and Ellistown's Michael Noonan, who's scored two goals so far
Ireland have qualified now for the knockout stages
Tomorrow at 1.20, they play Paraguay in their final Group game.
 
 
RUGBY

In the Autumn Rugby Internationals, Ireland beat Japan 41-10.

Full back Naas's Jamie Osborne suffered a shoulder injury and is a doubt for Saturday's game against Australia.
