Obafemi Ruled Out Of Tonight's Nations League Game Against Ukraine.

Maynooth's Mark Travers and Leixlip's Nathan Collins could feature.


Michael Obafemi is out of the Republic of Ireland's clash with Ukraine tonight.

He's set to miss the Nations League meeting in Poland due to a groin injury.

Chiedozie Ogbene, Ryan Manning and Festy Ebosele are all in the matchday 23, as is Leixlip's Nathan Collins and Maynooth's Mark Travers.

Kick-off in Lodz tonight is at 7.45.

The Republic of Ireland Under 21s can qualify for a European Championship for the first time in their history tonight.

They'll make next year's tournament if they beat Italy in Ascoli, where kick-off is at 4.30pm.

Ireland are guaranteed a play-off spot for the finals in Georgia and Romania regardless of this evening's result.

Naas' Andy Lyons has travelled with the Irish squad.
