Liverpool eye top spot in the Premier League

Even if they do win, they might not be at the summit for long.

Current leaders Arsenal, take on high flying Aston Villa in the evening game.

Manchester United entertain a resurgent Bournemouth at 3 o’clock.

Bottom of the table Sheffield United welcome Brentford to Bramall Lane.

Brighton entertain struggling Burnley.

RUGBY

Munster and Ulster get their Champions Cup campaigns underway today.

Ulster, who come up against Finn Russell and Bath at the Rec in Pool 2 at 3.15

Celbridge native Marty Moore is among the Ulster replacements.

The Thomond Park faithful will have the chance to bid farewell to recent retirees Keith Earls and Andrew Conway this evening.

They’ll take to the field at half-time of Munster’s Pool 3 encounter with Bayonne.
