Historic day for Naas Senior Hurlers; Maynooth Camogie in Leinster final; 4 more World Cup games, incl. Germany v Spain .............


It’s an historic day for Naas senior hurlers who appear for the first time in the Leinster Club senior hurling semi final

They play All Ireland champions Shamrocks Ballyhale in Croke Park at 1.15pm

Kfm will have full commentary by Ger McNally, with former Kildare goalkeeper, current selector Paul Dermody

We’ll have team news at 1.05pm.


All-Ireland champions Kilkenny unsurprisingly dominated the PwC 2022 Camogie All-Stars, taking eight spots, while full-forward Miriam Walsh was crowned Player of the Year at a ceremony in Croke Park.

Lisa Casserly of Galway the recipient of the Intermediate POTY award, whilst Antrim's Dervla Cosgrove was chosen for the Premier Junior Player of the Year.


Maynooth Junior Camogie team are also in Leinster action today

They  play Wicklow’s Knockananna in the Leinster Junior final at 12 noon in Clane GAA

Wales lost 39 -34 to Australia.

Leinster have extended their lead at the top of the URC to eight points.

They beat Glasgow Warriors 40 points to 5 at the RDS.

Naas’s Jamie Osborned was at full back for Leinster


Munster beat Connacht 24-17 in a game with 4 Kildare players

Eadestown’s Tadhg Beirne made his 50th Munster appearance, while Athy pair Joey Carbery and Jeremy Loughman (pro: Lockman) also featured.

Suncroft’s Cian Prendergast started for Connacht.



In Div 1B, Naas lost 35 -20 away to Banbridge

In Division 2A, MU Barnhall had a bonus point 30-12 win at home to  Navan


Leona Maguire is tied for second ahead of the final round at the Women's Spanish Open.

The Cavan golfer carded a 3-under-par 70 - two shots off the lead in Andalucia.
