Kildare native Davy Burke was last night confirmed as the new Roscommon senior football manager.

He’s been handed a three-year term to succeed Anthony Cunningham.

Burke will be assisted by Donegal All Ireland-winner Mark McHugh.

The Confey clubman had his playing career cut short by injury.

However, he sprung to prominence when he managed Kildare to victory in the 2018 All-Ireland U-20 football championship.

Seven players from Kerry have been included in this year's football All-Stars selection.

The All-Ireland champions lead the way, with beaten finalists Galway having five players in the team.

Derry receive two awards, while Dublin's Ciaran Kilkenny completes the line-up.

The hurling selection will be revealed tomorrow.
