Ireland under-20 head coach Richie Murphy looks set to be installed as interim boss at Ulster.

The province are still to confirm Dan McFarland’s reported departure, after six years in the job.

Ulster missed out on qualification for the last-16 of the Investec Champions Cup, and Sunday’s defeat to the Ospreys leaves them eighth in the URC.

Murphy has guided Ireland to back-to-back Grand Slams in the under-20 Six Nations, and they remain on course for a hat-trick.
