In a video announcement, New York district attorney Damian Williams accused the British billionaire of using inside information to "shower gifts on his friends and lovers."

His time of 7 minutes 39-point-1-9 seconds is a record European time.

Wiffen already booked his place at next year's Olympics when he set a new Irish record in his semi-final.

Danielle Hill came through her 50m backstroke heat overnight, and goes in the semi-final just after 25-to-1.

Ireland are into the semi-finals of Eurohockey Division 2 with a game to spare.

Lee Cole's hat-trick was among the scores as they beat Ukraine 7-0 in Abbotstown last night.

It came off the back off an opening 9-0 victory over the Czech Republic on Sunday.

The Irish team will complete the pool stages against Portugal this evening.
