60 million doses of vaccine will arrive with bloc by end of this month
The European Commission and AstraZeneca have settled their dispute over the delivery of 200 million Covid vaccine doses.
The Commission took legal action against the drugs company in April, over delays.
These delays impacted the rollout in member states - including Ireland.
But both sides have agreed a new timeframe for doses to arrive.
60 million doses will arrive in the European Union by the end of September.
75 million will be delivered by the end of the year, and a further 65 million in the first quarter of 2022.
European Commission spokesperson, Stefan de Keersmaecker, says there will be rebates for any more delays:
