It's understood Daniel Kinahan has lost his final appeal against his extradition from Dubai.
It comes three months after his arrest by authorities in Dubai, following a request from gardai.
The crime boss has been living openly there for years but an extradition order was made possible after Ireland and the United Arab Emirates signed a bilateral agreement in 2024.
He's wanted here for charges relating to gangland criminality.
