Syncing WhatsApp accounts to four devices at once without using a phone may be possible, under a new pilot system.

At the moment, the messaging platform can be mirrored onto a computer - but a phone needs to have power for that to work.

Engineers at Facebook - which owns the service - wants devices to work independently
