Joe Biden Advises American Citizens To Leave Ukraine, As Russian Invasion Fears Grow

Russian President Putin denies planning an invasion

American citizens have been advised by US President Joe Biden to leave Ukraine immediately, due to fears of a Russian invasion. 

Joe Biden has spoken to American network NBC about fears of a full-blown war between Russia and Ukraine - although Vladimir Putin denies planning an invasion:

The British government confirmed new laws yesterday, that give ministers the power to impose tougher sanctions on Russian oligarchs and businesses.

Yesterday, Britain's Foreign Secretary Liz Truss held stormy talks with her counterpart in Moscow, who accused her of refusing to listen.

But concern is growing, as large numbers of troops remain at the border.

The UK's Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace, is meeting his Russian counterpart this morning as he tries to defuse tensions.

Alexander Khara, a former Ukrainian diplomat, says the country's sovereignty is being threatened:
