Ireland & the UK submitted bid to host earlier today
Russia and Turkey have taken the football world by surprise and expressed an interest in staging Euro 2028.
Russian clubs and national teams are currently suspended by the world and European governing bodies, FIFA and UEFA.
Turkey meanwhile is also looking to stage the tournament.
Ireland and the UK submitted an 'expression of interest ' today in hosting the tournament, ahead of the 5pm deadline.
