Following recovery of cocaine worth €3.5 million
Swedish authorities are looking to extradite three men, arrested in Ireland last week, following the recovery of cocaine worth €3.5 million at an airfield in England.
A private plane was seized by Gardaí, along with mobile phones and €9,000 euro in cash, during an operation at Waterford Airport on the 23rd February.
The aircraft had arrived from Belgium via the UK.
Two Swedish nationals and a Lithuanian national were arrested.
Another man has been charged in the UK in connection with the seizure of 50kg of cocaine.
The three men have appeared before the High Court and are due in court again next week.
