Russia almost in complete control of Kharkiv
Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, says they needed to save their "heroes" of Mariupol - after more than 260 soldiers were rescued from a besieged steelworks.
But it marks the likely beginning of the end for defence forces in the port city - with Russia almost in complete control.
Negotiations are underway to evacuate the remaining troops.
