The Ukrainian President says the situation seen in a town north-west of capital Kyiv, is "significantly more dreadful" than what happened in Bucha.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy says there are "even more victims" of Russian forces in Borodyanka.
A spokesperson for Vladimir Putin has admitted there has been "significant losses" of Russian troops in the invasion of Ukraine - but refused to call it a war, instead labelling it an "operation".
Dmitry Peskov has also dismissed footage of mass civilian casualties in the town of Bucha as fake.
