According to the INMO's Trolley Watch figures 163 people were waiting on trolleys throughout Irish hospitals.
118 patients were waiting in hospital emergency departments, with 45 in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.
Cork University Hospital had the highest number nationally, at 15.
